Good berry and earth character, but a bit lean on the finish. Medium-bodied, with vanilla, chocolate and berry flavours. Slightly dry finish. Too much wood? Not as good as when tasted from barrel. Best after 2000. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.

A dark plum color is accompanied by an exotic nose of roasted espresso beans, sweet cherry jam, and lavish toasty oak. Soft, round, and medium-bodied, with attractive fruit, this wine pushes the oak to its limit, but there is no doubting its luscious fruit and seductive, open-knit style. Drink it over the next 6-7 years.

Complex aromas of green coffee bean, tarragon and blackberry, turning to licorice and violet. Full-bodied, with ultrafine tannins and beautiful fruit. Very balanced and refined for the vintage. Exceptional for this estate. A real beauty. Best after 2014. Outstanding (93).
